Learning Environment Learning Methods Training Courses Training Operations Training Strategy

All learning experiences must be designed to meet the basic learning process which should include that participants are motivated to learn, receive an input of new information and ideas and are able to evaluate their understanding. Learning events therefore should provide an opportunity to practice the new knowledge and get feedback on their performance in a realistic but safe environment before applying the new knowledge and skills to achieve results on the job.

Learning programme design therefore should, (in addition to fulfilling the objectives of knowledge or skills development as identified by training needs analysis), look at learning methods, consider individual learning styles, incorporate the learning cycle, be structured into learning modules, include work based assignments and individual personal development portfolios, link to other programmes and integrate a support environment, be sequenced appropriately, be subjected to evaluation ............. etc.

If modulised learning is adopted each module could, for example, nominate the competence skills addressed and could be graded to satisfy the training needs analysis of individual participants. The module grade could consider whether it was based around the needs of individuals utilising a single and variable organisation level embracing multi-disciplines or multi-levelling within a departmental context.

We can deliver learning events on a wide variety of topics to all organisational levels. These events can be run in-house or residentially. They can be work based or underpined by nationally recognise certification or both. They can incorporate real time action centred learning and/or computerised simulations.

We can also supply materials covering personal development portfolios, reference books, exercises or case studies, viewfoils and tutor presentation notes for your independent use and help you set up learning resource centres and assessment centres.
